I'm asking everyone to pray for my dad. He was airlifted to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital this afternoon after suffering a heart attack while on a fire call. He's had 3 stints put in, and will be in the hospital for 3 to 4 more days. We're praying for a speedy recovery.

Re: Prayer Request
It was a garbage truck fire. He was the first one on the scene. He pulled inch-and-a-half and had the fire 90% out by himself (at age 64) before mutual aid arrived. He started feeling bad from heat exhaustion, and the Emergency Services director started taking him to the hospital in her personal vehicle, when he started having chest pain. They had an ambulance meet them halfway, and when they hooked up the EKG, the paramedic determined he had a heart attack. They called the chopper for him while he was enroute to the local hospital.
His doctor placed 3 stents in the back of his heart, and he spent the night in ICU. He should be moved to a room today and they're keeping him for a couple more days. He's been ordered off work for 4 weeks, but the doctor believes he'll make a full recovery.John Spain

Re: Prayer Request
Thank you everyone. Your sentiments and prayers are much appreciated. I wish I could thank each of you personally. He was released from the hospital on Saturday night and is doing very well. We figure it will only be a matter of time before he's busy finding ways to aggravate Mom while he's off work the next month.
