Re: Progressive Reenacting units in central New York
Ryan,
Our group, the Columbia Rifles, has one other former 124th NY member: George "Soup Bone" Weymer, from Warwick NY. We have a few members in the Orange County/Northern NJ region, and several others (some of whom are also members of the 122nd NY) in the Syracuse/Utica area. Several CRs live in the Rochester area as well. Other CRs are located in southern New England, including CT, MA, and RI.
The 149th NY is a group in Syracuse with the Liberty Rifles.
The Living History Guild (LHG) is a group in the Elmira area that is a member unit of the Potomac Legion (as is the 122nd NY and Columbia Rifles).
Located in western NY (Niagara County) is the 151st New York, which is also a member unit of the Potomac Legion, but that's probably a ways from your area.
There are other members of Liberty Rifles member groups in the NYC area, as well as some other campaigner contingents in the downstate region as well.
