  • What a find in my closet

The home I live in was my grandmother's and grandfater's. There is house was built in 1934, so as many of you know that old homes very small closets and one electrical plug in each room. Last week while going through a closet, placed flat on the floor under some odds and ends I found a special edition of a local news paper dedicated to the Centenial of the Civil War. It is dated July 28th, 1961. Wow 50 years old. It is all there and in perfect condition. Another cool thing is that it is entirely printed in gray and blue ink. Yhe paper is completely dedicated to the Delmarva (Delaware, Maryland and Virginia's Eastern Shore) Much of the info is new to me and I have researched the area's history during the War. I had anncestor's who faught for both sides. If any one would like a free copy I'll do my best to get it you you. The article is from the Salisbury Times, Salisbury, Maryland.

Anything about the prison at Point Lookout in the paper? My ancestor was imprisoned there.
