    I wanted to know what do you think about the patterns from Galla Rock ?
    They look take on museum pieces but what about authenticity, easy of use, etc, etc...

    [QUOTE=jma]Bonjour à tous,

    I have not used their men's patterns extensively, with the exception of the men's "shirt on the square". Their women's patterns, in my experience are relatively easy to use and are "true to size". I've used the women's size patterns in an 8, 14, 18, and 20+, and found they all fit well, matching the modern off the rack size for the lady quite well.

    The man's "shirt on the square" has become a standard for us, because we can measure the pattern pieces and rip out the shirt pieces on the straight of grain at an event, in case we've somehow ended up with idle hands. We've found that it fits well, and can be entirely hand sewn in the span of a weekend event, even if we are supervising a first time hand sewer. I've taught this shirt on a workshop basis to new sewers on several occassions. Its multi-sized, so can be cut to fit the starving soldier or the portly lay-about with great sucess.

    They provide reasonable documentation of their efforts, and provided more information when I asked for it. Based on this experience, I'd expect their men's patterns to perform as well as the women's patterns do.
