Southern Honor

[Fencible]

I recently read the book "Southern Honor, Ethics and behavior in the Old South" by Wyatt-Brown, Very interesting read. It is very interesting to take a look into the southern family unit and their individual roles in the family and society. I found some familiar lessons from my childhood, I guess that could be dated back to the antebellum cultural structure. If anyone is interested in a "why did they do it or and evaluation of the southern mans ethos or elan" this book will help. Good back ground material for those who portray the civilian family unit also.

This book really puts a lot of things into perspective for the antebellum South.
A great read!
