    Backpacks W/ Blanket Rolls?

    Evening all,

    Has been some time, used the search forum, and to my dismay, i have turned up no results.

    The question is, is how often was a backpack worn, while still rolling the blanket up and slinging around your body! Ive seen this done time and time again at events, but i want to know IF and HOW often this actually occured. I have not seen any photos of this and would be very interested in seeing them. If anyone has any photos they would like to share or knowledge to share. Please post them. Thanks

      Mr. Hull,

      Using the word "Knapsack" instead of backpack produces several prior threads on this subject. I beleive Backpack is more of a post war indentifier.
