Mark Jaeger just let me know that the Atomz search engine isn't working on my Civil War newspaper website ( http://www.uttyl.edu/vbetts/newspaper_titles.htm ). I've contacted Atomz and evidently the University of Texas at Tyler has very recently prohibited robots from crawling any page on the university server. Therefore, Atomz can't index any recently updated page, such as the newspapers, but can still index static pages, like my Godeys index. I've now contacted the University IT folks to see if this was an unintentional result of some software updates, or if this will be a permanent situation. Atomz is a free (up to a certain number of files) search engine for non-profits, which doesn't require on-site software installation. If the University cuts them out, I'm hoping that they will have suggestions for campus supported alternatives.
