Had a great time at the film making new friends and reconnecting with old pards, and I'm greatly looking forward to the September shoot.

I lost the tang screw off of my M1816, so if anyone found one, I'd really like it back. (I realize it's a one in a thousand shot, but hey, you never know.)

Folks, We have another shoot at the end of September 23-25. This will be our main shoot with battle scenes, etc being filmed on the battlefield. We will be filming the following scenes, Snodgrass Hill, Longstreet's Breakthrough, The Capture of Van Pelt's 1st Michigan Battery, The Orphan Brigade's attack and death of Helm, and several other small scenes. I need help on this folks, I want this movie to look good and our first shoot went very well, but this one is the most important since we are filming the main scenes. So if you can help out please let me know. We have a Facebook page, Chickamauga Movie. Also, at tthis time the film company is going to pay $100 for the weekend, or basically $50 per day for infantry. Camping will be on the battlefield in north Dyer Field and meals will be provided. Again if interested contact me.

I hope this won't be considered too forward, but I've always been proud of the first reenactment unit I joined back in '81. I always thought our flag one of the most unique of any theater, but especially of the AoT which had some really great and interesting flags. I'll be bringing our old reproduction to be used in the shoot this month. Artistry in silk if I do say so. the first image is the original which resides in the Alabama State Archives. The second and third are the obverse and reverse respectively.

                              Enjoy!
