Repro USSS Button on Ebay...NOT Original.

I know that some board members and visitors are button collectors. This is just a heads-up to those of you who might want to add one of the rarer USSS rubber buttons to your collection. The button seen in the auction linked below is one of the reproduction black plastic buttons made by Blockade Runner several years ago. When you look at original hard rubber buttons they don't have that weird mottled plastic look but are completely smooth and compact looking. Just by looking at the pictures in the auction I can tell that it's made from cheap plastic, poorly finished (you can see some flashing on the button edge), and I could probably cut it in half with scissors!
