  • Need help with paper...

    Gentlemen:

Since the people on this site collectively represent probably the greatest collection of knowledge in regard to Civil War uniforms, I feel that this is the best place to go for this.

I'm writing a paper for my Civil War and Reconstruction class on the Jackets of the Army of Northern Virginia and the Confederate Depot System. Before I can write this paper, however, I need to find sources. I've already got access to the OR (my school's library has a good collection :) ), but need more than that. The jackets themselves I should have little trouble with, but the depot system is giving me problems. Any ideas?

    With Thanks,

    Matthew Forrest

Civil War and Reconstruction be a hard class. I talked to some boys in the cafeteria i worked at in the school once bout that and they was in it. one of em told me about this site, and thats why im here.

many people do not take my reenacting seriously since i am a black woman, but i do it because i enjoy history so much.

matthew, send me an email to syrvyx@hotmail.com, i know some professors at the school i work at who can help you out.

Good God! Why wouldnt they!? Ms Washington, if you are a serious living historian and people do not apreciate you, then you must be traveling in the wrong circles.

i meant that most of ma' friends dont take it seriously. most other reenactors treat me like a normal person, its just among my friends (other black woman) that i'm not taken seriously. its just an important part of my peoples history and it helps to understand it better by participating i think.

by the way, matthew, its spring break this week, i'll get to the professors i know when school comes back next monday.

Edra - We certainly support all serious living historians but something about your writing style suggests to me that you're here as a troll and not a serious living historian. I'm suspending your account until you can prove otherwise. - Paul Calloway
