Has anyone had a chance to read this book by Russell Bonds on the battle of Atlanta? I belive it was published in 2009. I have put together a pretty decent collection on the Atlanta Campaign, but haven't heard much about this one.

Just looking for any input before I pull the trigger on an Amazon purchase...

Very good read and had a chance to speak with Bonds a few times while doing the research for my book on the actions on and around Cheatham's Hill during the Kennesaw campaign...he's actually an attorney here in Atlanta

I think you'll enjoy it and is definately a good addition to an Atlanta Campaign library...there is a reason it has a 5 star rating on Amazon..it IS a more sweeping view of the campaign as opposed to regimental level details that some other recent Atlanta Campaign releases have dealt with
