What does Civil War Battlefield Medicine have to do with combat today?

I just got back to my office from my Lions Club meeting where George Wunderlich of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in Frederick MD was the guest speaker. All I can say is WOW! If you live in the area or ever have a chance to hear him speak... drop everything and bring a friend... you won't regret it!

By the way... to get the answer to the subject line question... you have to hear George speak or better yet... visit the museum!
