Mods, feel free to lock this because it's not a discussion-starter, just a warning to the board population. Someone is 'spoofing' Ebay. If you get an Email saying it's from Ebay and you need to update your info because you're infringeing(sp?) on one of their policies, and there's a link in the Email that takes you to a sign-in page, don't do anything further. Send the Email to Ebay at spoof@ebay.com. The sign-in takes you to a page that asks for cc/debit info, PayPal info, bank info, all kinds of stuff. The Email has the correct E-letterhead, the sign-in page looks legit, the page does too. Really good job copying Ebay's layout. The Email will even say 'dear yourusername' and have your correct Ebay username, or at least mine did. The Email will tell you that this is a routine thing done for accounts with a balance of a dollar or more, yadda yadda. Don't get bit, fellers.

Re: Ebay caveat
I've gotten lots of those emails. As soon as I started sending them to spoof@ebay.com,they seemed to have stopped. Dreaming up another new scam,I suppose.

Re: Ebay caveat
I wouldn't feel bad. Some people don't use eBay very often, or are just starting out on it. You can't be too suspicious on the web. Fortunately, the first time I got that message, I just deleted it-I didn't know where to report it.I had heard of this scam with Paypal, and other places,so I suspected it. You did good to warn us
