Casting has begun for the Kennesaw Mountain orientation film scheduled to shoot June 8, 9, 10 at the Resaca Battlefield near Calhoun, GA. The film production company is Great Divide Pictures, responsible for the recent successful productions at Shiloh and Chickamauga parks. This is a great group to work with, and they take good care of the reenactors.
The production needs approximately 180 infantry, and about 10 cavalry as generic mounted officers. Impressions will be generic late war US and CS, with more information to follow. Given the high authenticity standards for this film, the production is looking to cast reenactors whom are athletic, and can pass for 18-35 years old. You may color your hair or beards to pass the age test. Keep in mind, it will be hot and humid in June, so please be prepared for long days with strenuous activity in extreme temperatures, just like the boys experienced on the mountain in 1864.

Pay is $50 per day per man, plus a $15 powder premium for the weekend, and nicely catered meals. Cavalry will receive an additional $50 per horse, hay and water provided. Camping and parking is on site, with portable toilets and trash service available. The production asks that reenactors arrive on Thursday evening for registration and organization. Filming begins early Fri June 8th at 7 AM.
