I am hoping someone can help me date this McClellan saddle. I have looked at a few pictures of other originals, but as you can tell mine is missing some hardware. Does anyone have any idea?

Re: Dating a McClellan saddle
Tyler,
While I can't provide you with any kind of exact date, I CAN tell you that it is not a CW period McClellan. My expertise really ends at the end of the CW, but that looks like a 1904 model to me.
Take care,

Re: Dating a McClellan saddle
Since it looks like it has a saddle skirt I would say it is a 28 or post 28.....

Re: Dating a McClellan saddle
Thanks for the help guys. Huck that’s a great website, very informative! I think you are right about it being around the 1928 time frame. I thought I might have a period piece but at least I’m a little wiser now.Tyler Underwood
