    After looking through those images of the wounded, I sure would hate to face such a fate. Amazing how those men walked into the storm of fire not knowing their fate. What courage and resolve.

      You should attend a North-South Skirmish to see what type of accuracy can be obtained from a rifle musket.

      Even with my 50 plus (heck, almost 60 ) year old eyes, I can occassionally hit a clay pigeon at 100 yards, offhand.

        Indeed... a couple years ago I came in 2nd place in the state muzzleloading championships, using my M1841 Mississippi rifle. The other guy beat me by 3 points on the 50-meter target :-(
