I would recommend Kathy Bradford, listed under Approved Vendors as Preservation Parcels. I'm not sure if she is still active in this respect, but I assume it wouldn't hurt to contact her.
I also second Kathy Bradford. She is very nice and easy to work with. Her work is top-notch and her turn around is fast. If you contact her, she usually has some already made in various sizes and you can pick out which material you like. She also use to reproduce housewifes seen in Echoes of Glory. Good luck

"America has no north, no south, no east, no west. The sun rises over the hills and sets over the mountains, the compass just points up and down, and we can laugh now at the absurd notion of there being a north and a south. We are one and undivided." -Sam Watkins-1st Tennessee
If you'd consider a knit sleeping cap, I've got a quantity in stock and ready to ship. I have tam'o'shanters (tams), sleeping hats that come to a point (stocking hats) and balaclavas.
Balaclavas are the gggrandfathers of modern ski hats, and they cover your head and neck, leaving a small space for your face. There is a picture of a balaclava in the Confederate Echoes of Glory. Mine are a slightly different pattern, and are copies of three that are in the collection of the Museum of the Confederacy.
Sleeping hats are $65 plus postage, balaclavas are $70 plus postage.
Feel free to email me if you'd like a price list of the items I make, or descriptions of those that are in stock and ready to ship.
Sincerely,
Karin Timour

Sorry to have been out of the loop a bit. I am currently working on some Michigan caps for some men who have dibs on them, and I hope to do some sleeping caps after Thanksgiving. A new job, school, and massive home renovations have been filling every spare moment. Thank you for the kind recommendations, and I hope to be back to stitching wool soon.
Am assuming this message is aimed to Mrs. Bradford? Please keep in mind that she's located in Delaware, and with Sandy passing through close to them, she might have lost power. Give her a day or so and then resend it.
If you mean that you've sent an email to me, I haven't received it and you should resend. Again, Sandy is affecting lots of our infrastructure, but I've currently got power.
Sincerely,
Karin Timour
