Short notice, I know. But in case anyone is in the Madison Wisconsin area tomorrow looking for something to do (Jan 27), our local historical society is sponsoring a talk by Lance Herdegen, author of "The Iron Brigade in Civil War and Memory, The Black Hats from Bull Run to Appomattox and Thereafter". I am also putting together a small exhibit of uniforms and personal items from my collection to add a little material culture flavor. Free of charge to the general public.

Despite the freezing rain, the talk was well attended by an enthusiastic audience. It was worth it to drag out the manequins and set up a display for this. Thanks, everyone who showed up.
