  • Non Regulation 1850 foot officers' pattern?

This one is attic fresh, and I was hoping someone would be able to give a positive ID. It sure looks like a Klingenthal made 1850 foot officers', but edged weapons aren't my forte.

If I am not wrong it is a nicely engraved french M1845 officer's sword. I cannot tell the date from the blade back engraving but usually the date of manufacture is engraved there. The Emarican M1850 was a copy of the french M1845. It could however be an M1854 depending on the blade point.
