The medical museum in Fredrick Maryland is a great place to visit. I also went to Gaine's Mill and Cold Harbor last summer and both exceeded my expectations , they are also very close to one another. Hope you guys have a fun and safe trip.

You'll need to refuel along the way and if going East from Gettysburg at all: http://www.shady-maple.com/smorgasbord/ ;)

But to contribute my site-to-see, if you're headed to Williamsburg, why not go further south on the peninsula to Newport News, Virginia and the Mariners Museum where you'll find the Monitor and a LARGE exhibtion containing pieces of it, videos, mock-ups of the quarters, etc.etc. - http://www.marinersmuseum.org/

Oh and try some oysters from the James and/or York Rivers, tastey! :)
