    I checked the search engine. I don't think this has been posted before.

    I came across this article while doing some other research on-line and thought I would pass it along. Pretty cool the guy gave the ring back to the soldier's descendants.

    Also I thought it would be of interest as this ring is probably an example of one of those little rings we see so many soldiers wearing on their pinkie fingers in period images.

    A ring lost by a Union soldier from Pennsylvania during the Civil War has completed a long journey home.
