  • Native American Reenactors?

    Gents,
I'm in the early planning statges of a small antebellum event involving the pre-war garrison at Camp Floyd (Utah Territory). What I need is to get in contact with a group that portrays Native Americans of the 1850s (Preferably Utes or Shoshones). Any idea where to start?

    Chuck,

We too are planning our 150th event in Wyoming and are having a hard time with this issue as well. All I can say is good luck and if we come across any contacts, I will be sure to send them your way as well. Thanks!

I would recommend looking towards any native american reservations out that way. Though it might be hard to get to get them to come out without all their little vendors and bells and whistles. You might just be able to find some purists within that group that just love opportunities to share their own true history!
