    Gents-

    I just thought I would give this post a bump because I was able to attain a digital period image of a soldier apparently wearing a "veteran pin" on his hat. The image is reportedly of a soldier in Company F, 2nd Wisconsin Infantry...the Iron Brigade...no less. Obviously the badge would be a "WIS" pin.

    I would like to graciously thank Nick Periut of Army of the Tennessee Civil War Artifacts for sharing the image with me and us ultimately.
