      Hallo!

If not too late to add to the survey, another popular "era" is that of the French & Indian War. (But "Other" may capture that.)

"Frontier/War of 1812" might be an odd pairing. There is the frontierish F & I and Rev War communities, the Trekking community, and then the post 1820's Mountainman/Buckskinning eras.

And last but not least, the survey allows but one choice while some lads do multiple eras at the same time.

As Curt notes--it won't give more than one...

        French Settlement of Alabama 1720-1760

Revolutionary War and other late 18th century

        1812 War/ Creek Civil War

And roll it right on up through the 1820's, 30's, 40's and 50's

And some passing WWII packratism because Mama never threw anything away, and somebody has to preserve this stuff.

Have a Mexican War impression (Illinois volunteer), and am working on an early 1850s US Army frontier impression.

Curt, yep, you are correct. It won't let me change the poll though. I should have started with French & Indian Wars. My bad. Just note it in the post like you guys are doing. Thanks guys!

Re: What Time Periods Do You Portray?

A few of us put together a 4th US Infantry impression for the Battle of Tippecanoe bicentennial (Nov. 1811). It was great fun to put it together. My plan right now is to be at Fort McHenry this year for the bicentennial.

In my "new" (not so new anymore) home in Georgia, the Revolutionary history is starting to draw my interest.

I'm also starting to feel the gravitational pull of the WW1 Centennial. Hmm... No 1 Mk. III Enfield or something in a size .30-06... decisions, decisions...

I do Rev War too, but I am culling my impressions. If anyone is interested in my list, drop me a line.

Yeah, sure you can post photos. We just need to keep them in The Sinks, but yep, good point, and that would be fine. We will see how it goes. I think it would be interesting to see people in their other attire.

                          Greetings all!

I've dabbled with Revolutionary War in the past and may go back to it at some point, but I've really gotten into War of 1812 lately. Also trying to break into WWI and Mexican-American War as well.

Posted is a pic of me as 1812 American Corps of Artillery at Fort McHenry.
