I'm heading to Wilmington North Carolina next week. Any good civil war sights to see while there?

Re: N.C. trip
Fort Fisher is in Wilimington, and would be worth checking out. If you are interested in American Revolution sites, Moores Creek Bridge battlefield is also close by. There a few more ACW sites in the region, but they are a 2-3 hour drive.Shawn Sturgill

Fort Anderson is a short drive from Wilmington, definitely worth a visit. A hidden gem IMO.Jeff Felton

Re: N.C. trip
Call ahead to Ft. Fisher to make sure they are "open". Last month, the visitor's center was closed on a Saturday I was down there. Not sure why.Mike "Dusty" Chapman
