Who: Anyone that would like to participate, to include civilian impressions
What: Living History display for young scouts (ages 8-13)
When: Saturday, 24 April from approx. 9 to 4.
Where: Camp Stahlman, Boxwell Boy Scout Reservation: On Hwy 109 between Gallatin and Mt. Juliet, Tn. (on the Shores of Old Hickory Lake)
Why: To provide the young scouts with an opportunity to see the types of clothing and equipment used by soldiers during the American Civile War. To let them see how a simple campaign style bivouc would have appeared, what type of food was eaten while on the march, etc.
-Unfortunately, this activitiy will be done without weapons, due to the Scout Councils concerns about the age of the scouts, and the insurance issues.
