  • Help canteen rusting

Okay I have a confederate tin drum canteen I have had it about two years and used it on hour long walks almost every day. The inside is coated with bess wax so thats fine but the outside is stating to get quite a bit of rust on it. So I was wondering what could I do to prevent more rust and to get off whats already on. thanks

Apply boiled linseed oil and let it dry or better yet buy a hot dipped tin canteen.
