  • Looking for information on the Corsican cap

I am about to start making an early war uniform for company F of the 7th Virginia and the only picture that I have found of one of the original members shows him in a Corsican cap and I can find next to nothing out about them. From the photo, it looks like it is cut of the same material as his frock and trousers (a light gray) with a black band and black tassel, but would it be lined? Would it have a sweat band? Are there any surviving caps in museums? Has anyone ever tried to reproduce them? Is there a pattern? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

      Dave,
That is the style of cap, thanks. I am just wondering what the inside looks like.

I finally took a picture of the picture (though quality is poor) of Henry Collins in the uniform from when he enlisted. It is a little hard to see, but he has a corsican cap on.
