Mark,

I had some work done by Mr. Michael Atha at Restoration Books last year and was pleased. I have an old leather bound book where both covers became detached due to rot. He was able to reattach the original front and back covers to a new leather spine, while preserving the old spine so that it could be overlaid onto the new one. He did a fine job preserving and restoring the original materials and appearance of the book.

I have used Ace Book Binding for several projects including textbook, period restoration and Bible (antique) rebinding. They did a great job with some terribly disbound works were they actually redid everything . . .
