    Heritage Interpreter Historic Skills Course
Join us for a class entirely devoted to 19th century skills. First, participants will learn the basics of historical interpretation*. Afterwards, participants will choose from an array of available sessions. Topics covered include canning, sewing, blacksmithing, woodworking, gardening, broom making, hearth cooking and basic draft horse driving. Following the class, participants will be required to provide fifty hours of volunteer service at the historic farm. Lastly, participants will also learn how to convey this historical information in a meaningful and provocative way. Participants are required to attend both classes. Class fee is $30, which covers course materials and handouts. For more information on signing up, please contact Rick Musselman at rmusselman@metroparks.org, or go to www.metroparks.org .
