  • Metropolitan Arms Navy Revolver - FYI

    Hey, folks!

For those in the cavalry branch of service, or if you portray an officer and you're looking for something unique to add to your impression, have a look at this Metropolitan Arms navy revolver for sale over at Track of the Wolf Link.

I am in no way involved with "Track..." or with the sale of the revolver. Just thought someone might find that this piece gives their impression that certain je ne sais quoi.

    Enjoy!

    Hallo!

A very nice restoration of an 1864/65 piece. I would REALLY like to see it to disassemble and look for screws, rifling, direction of of twist as this is so perfect even to the point of spooking me a bit as too perfectly totally pristine.

If true, it does run counter to contemporary Gun Collector and Dealer mantra (if not sin).... that restoring original guns (but not cars or planes)... "destroys their value."

Agreed. $1500 does seem a little steep for a "non-Colt" piece. Condition also looks pretty good, which has me wondering who did the restoration.
