  • 1842 Springfield Ramrod

    Hello all,

I have found myself in need of a new ramrod for my Armisport 1842 smoothbore. I bumped it at Bentonville and like most sorry two piece ramrods, it came apart at the joint. I have welded and reshaped it, but still would like a better replacement. Anyway, can anyone recommend a good replacement? I have used the search function here along the web and have only located one decent replacement. I'm looking at the American made two piece lap welded ramrod offered by Lodgewood. Can anyone tell me if this is a good option, or point me toward another?

    Thanks for your help,

Yes, I have one, and it is the correct shape to boot! Tell David you want it threaded 10/24 as per originals (both the original original and the ArmiSport repro original). Confused yet?

      Mike,

Thanks for the conformation on the ramrod. I hadn't thought to double check the threading...... I will make sure to request it in 10/24. Oh, I follow the original original and original repop part.

      Thanks again,
