New AC member here...been a member of the CW Forum now for a few years. My name is Ben Cwayna and I have been in the hobby since 1992; starting as a drummer boy at the age of 12 and now currently into my second tour as company commander. We portray the 12th South Carolina and 4th Michigan Volunteers and are based in Michigan. I like to say we are mainstream reenactors with progressive and campaigning tendencies and in recent years, my unit has taken a great interest in improving our impressions. As you all know, it is a work in progress and never quite "achieved." In this quest, I look forward to gleaning as much as I can from the learned living historians on this site and contributing as well.

Welcome Ben. We may have seen each other as I live in Michigan on the east side. I do not make many local events anymore (2-3 a year) but maybe we can shake hands if our paths cross.
