    Thank you for obtaining that Mike. I was reconciled to living off a certain Bosnian sausage that I know to survive weeks in my dress pockets at 100+ degrees, but I have to send to St Louis for that.

    There is hope in the world. We will need to give new suppliers adequate lead time and patience as we get to know each other.

      To echo on Strawfoot,

      I've used smokehouse.com for slab bacon in the past. It is great.

      And I have had bacon and ham from hermannwursthaus.com as well but cannot comment on the purchasing.

      Here in southeastern NC, there is a huge Smithfield packing plant, actually the biggest in the world. They have a small store front and they sell cured slab bacon as well. It is also on their website smithfieldmarketplace.com

      germandeli.com has it and I assume many local german places may have it, especially for y'all up North and the Midwest with large German populations (and other European delis)
