I recently picked up an original 1860 spencer in very good condition. I'm curious if anyone may have some information on its history. The serial number is 29589. Thanks

Re: 1860 Spencer Carbine
What did they do, throw them in a pile at the factory and then crate them? Ha Ha. Thanks for the information, at least I know it was produced during the war, and most likely saw some sort of service. Thanks again,Jeff Dunwoody
