  • Shelter Halves stencil / Stamp

    Hey All:

I am making my own shelter halves, three panel, hand sewn buttons holes and grommets, bones buttons, the works. I am trying to do some research into what may have been stamped or stenciled onto these halves. Unit information? Maker information? Photos would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Page 173 of Lords Volume IV and V has an image of the Joseph Lee Stamp. Also the book by Fred Gaede has images of the stamps as well. be prepared to pay anywhere between $15- $30 depending on the size and how much the stamp place charges they all vary but 15-30 is about the price range for most stamps.

By all means, invest in Fred Gaede's book as mentioned by Mike above. "The Federal Shelter Tent" is the bible of shelter halves and has a wealth of information, including multiple contractor stamps.
