    One small note relative to the article: Upton's attack on Ewell's trench line occurred on 10 May not 9 May as is stated. George Doles' Georgia Brigade which manned that section of the Confederate lines was wrecked. The Confederates lost between 1000 and 1200 alone in prisoners, primarily from Doles', Daniels' and Walker's brigades. Upton's column was constituted of 12 handpicked regiments from the 6th Corps and suffered about 1000 casualties. There is an Alfred Waud sketch made at the time of the Rebel captives being driven back across the field into Federal lines in the wake of the attack.
