Hi!
I am a researcher working for a TV producer in Quebec, Canada. We are currently co-producing a exciting documentary series about reenactors with France and have been allowed to film the Battle of Cedar Creek in Virginia (October 15 and 16).
So far, I have been able to speak with Confederate reenactors and since we want to explore both side, it'd be great to be able to find Union reenactors willing to participate as well!
The idea (of the shoot) is to interview a few reenactors on the spot in order to cover various aspects such as the history of the battle, its context, material culture, uniforms, weapons, the way of life in 1864, etc.
We are thus looking for Union reenactors (men and women) who are very knowledgeable about the Battle of Cedar Creek and the American Civilk War. History buffs who can give us further information about this particular battle and its context and who are willing to be followed by a film crew.
Anyone interested? If so, you can contact me at mc.tremblay@pvp.ca. I would do a pre-interview with you as soon as you are available so you'll know what to expect for the filmed interview. It is also helpful to the director so he'll know whom he will meet.
I know there is little time before the event, but I thought I'd tried here.
I will be happy to give you further information about our series and us too!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you!
