    Johnny!

Outside of reaching more of the public, why are they moving from the current location?

Wow... haven't see you since our romp in the woods at Bummers, I believe, Comrade. :)

The site in Lumpkin, GA, where it is now, is a good site, but bad location for the park. Lumpkin is a failed town, is crime ridden and not a conspicuous location for this great site. Putting it in Columbus will save the park from dwindling attendance and put it near other tourist attractions like the Civil War Naval Museum, US Army Infantry Museum, and the forthcoming US Armor Museum. so, this REALLY helps raise awareness of the site and will greatly aid preservation.

Hey Tim, thank you for that link.

Thanks Johnny. My last event per se was Shiloh, but have been a spectator or one day attender to a few here and there since then. I still lurk the AC from time to time:)
When I see you next I'll be sure to say hey!
