  • CWDD: Chuck-a-luck

One of everyones favorite books is 'Corporal Si Klegg and His Pard.' When preparing this episode a quote from Hinman immediately came to my mind. He said “about half the ponchos, after they had been in service a few months…had the necessary squares and figures for chuck-a-luck.” Watch this week’s episode as we explore this game and teach you how to play it. A board as he said can be made simply on a rubber cloth and almost anything could be used to bet with. So, don't let not having a fancy board and currency stop you!

Sam Watkins makes several references to chuck-a-luck in Co. Aytch, among other games to pass the time in camp.
