  • Civil War Limbs Found At Second Manassas

    Gents-

Over the years I personally have always wondered why there have not been more of these locations found. I know some of the bigger battlefield National Cemeteries have marked grave areas for some limbs and body parts found after the battle. This discovery made on the Second Manassas battlefield is a an amazing find and I hope as they continue to research it the information discovered is readily shared. It truly is a reminder of the cost of war and what many of us have read over the years from many soldiers accounts. The greater fear of being wounded rather then killed. Anyway here is the link to the article.

Scientists have been analyzing bones first uncovered by a utility crew digging at the Manassas National Battlefield Park in Virginia. The remains provide insights into surgery during the Civil War.
