Yes, many will make light of this because it wasn't a "quality " event but the ramifications will be severe. Cannot imagine sutlers, spectators, food vendors, local businesses and reenactors word-wide will not suffer. What annual events are left ? New Market, Perryville, Port Hudson. While I'm sure something equally terrible will pop up to take its place, and some folks who like to call themselves "campaigners" but really just like burning powder will plan an adjunct, there is an awesome AUTHENTIC Gettysburg Campaign alternative planned for next year: SILENT MACHINES!
