Comrades,
You know, the more I think about it, (and it's a wicked thing to be so attracted to such perversness of history, sort of like staring transfixed at a train wreck), the more I believe that what this fellow did was to buy up the costume trunk of one of those Carnival "old timey" photography shops where you can get dressed up as Uncle Beauregard and have an "aged' polaroid taken of you and your friends. Maybe he was even the photographer. Who knows...
What I DO know is that there ought to be a special place in hell for purveyors of such things. And a right hand seat for those who buy them.......
Respects to all,

NOT ME OF COURSE ! Bob Swartz keep your mouth shut !!! :tounge_sm
Well, for those of us (and pretty sure none are on this board) who rode with the old 1st Kentucky, Co. A, those abominations are likely still standing in the closet. Mine still is. Maybe we ought to start a thread where we show all the world one of the worst garmets still residing in wardrobe, or maybe not!

Come on now, boys! I really don't feel this topic is appropriate for the forums here. Entertaining, though it may be, let's stop and recall why the AC is here. I think we all should take a deep breath and take a look at this thread: http://www.authentic-campaigner.com/...ead.php?t=3864 Tod, your intentions were good, but not here, please.

Silas - this clown is from Newport WA just north of Spokane on the Idaho border. Maybe we can get one of the boys attending the Spokane event to reserve each of us a set of these fine garments. Let me know whether you want suede, velour, tree bark or hide. Think this is the same guy that made one out of elk a couple years ago. I am holding out for elk or maybe buffalo.

Interesting, it seems that there is limit to the number of threads that can be followed at one time. Somehow discussing Ebay trajedy's detracts from authenticity related discussions.
I reckon some do find that carrying on a discussion that other people find interesting and amusing isn't authentic. As the photographic evidence clearly indicates, people during the civil war had no sense of humor. :confused_
