  • Dentures and Rations in the Field

OK, having now obtained a full upper Denture, I wonder how anyone with dentures, handles events that have you draw rations of (lets just say for instance) hardtack?

Is it better to just bring rations of your own to events, forgo the issued items? Anyone with any experience along these lines?

Dentist hat on: Consider soaking your hardtack in water to soften it. Rice, beans, cooked vegetables and soft meats will be within your abilities, too. Depending on the suction, you may want to use a good adhesive to help with stability. Down the road, look into getting implants to retain your denture as well.
