Join Will and Jim Pahl as they discuss the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, a fraternal organization for descendents of Union veterans. Jim Pahl is a Past Commander-in-Chief of the SUVCW and has a wealth of knowledge about the origins, camaraderie, and projects of the organization. Their rich history starts in 1881 formed by the Grand Army of the Republic, the Union veterans themselves. Organizations, including the SUVCW or one of the other five allied orders of the GAR, have contributed an important social aspect in our communities.
