Greetings,
Check out today's (Friday, 28 May) "Wall Street Journal." There is a very nice front-page article, entitled "Civil War Veterans Are Gone, but Kids Have Stories to Tell," which includes some interesting anecdotes about the war passed down by vets to their descendants. There is also a very nice, and apparently previously unpublished image of Charles Conrad Becker, 128th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, included as well.
This article is also available at the Wall Street Journal On-line site; however, you will need to be a subscriber in order to access it:
Regards,
Mark Jaeger
