I have run across references to a game played in the 114th OVI Co A. called Crossy Crown. Has anyone heard of this game or know anything of it? It may be some made-up camp game for all I know and all the information I’ve been able to find on it (none). The author of the diary says that this game, card games, and throwing horseshoes were the favorite games in camp. Goodness knows throwing horseshoes is something we could do at events. I’m sure they used standard horseshoes though and not the Giant things we call horseshoes these days. Thanks for any input.

Re: Game Question
I believe you are referring to the diary David W. Wagner (1864).,
It can be found on line here:
