  • Where’s Sullivan Press?

    I need your help.

I've been waiting since the end of April for an order from Sullivan Press. I've spoken to Mr. Sullivan twice and he assured me that he would send my order right along. Well after about a half dozen emails and the same number messages (when you can find a number that works) none of which were returned, I’m still waiting for my order. At this point in time I'm pretty darn mad.

I've always enjoyed reading Mr. Sullivan’s post and have had in the past, no problems with receiving orders from him but this experience has really left a sour taste in my mouth. I’m a merchants dream customer in that I’m an incredibly patient person but enough is enough. In the future, I’ll buy his merchandise at events but never again from mail order.

If some one can tell me how to get in touch with Mr. Sullivan to clear up this problem up (or if Mr. Sullivan reads this) please contact me (nc1862@yahoo.com). I thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me. I remain

    Respectfully,

Not to pile on Mr. Sullivan, but me three. I have been very much interested in his new Company Books, but have been unable to get any response since last spring. I would be very much interested in tips on how to successfully open a dialog with him.

      Thanks,

Me four, I'm waiting for my order as-well, but not as long as you fellows. I'm wondering should I search for my items somewhere else.

If you want Sullivan's attention you have to post on the civilian list (cw-reenactors-digest).

              Paul,

Thanks for the thought. I posted the same message over there the same day I posted it here. I also sent along one more email to him with still no response. For some reason (and it’s not the money) this whole thing has really bummed me out. I've met and dealt with Bob on several occasions and just would never ever have expected him to treat his customers this way.
              Oh well, live and learn.

              Thanks again,

                Re: Where’s Sullivan Press?

If I remember correctly, Mr. Sullivan went back to a full-time job in addition to running Sullivan Press. Now, that is a rather vague recollection, so take it with a little salt. I contacted him with an inquiry back in the fall, and while it was a couple of weeks, he did answer me.

                Cheers---

Well I just tried to call, and the phone number of the site, is not in service.

                  (610) 913-6450. I wonder if he is still in business?

                    Re: Where’s Sullivan Press?

Mr. Sullivan was coping with some real personal and economic challenges when I saw him at Gettysburg in August--one of the reasons that I bought a copy of everything civilian item he had that I didn't already have--I'm really afraid that the pitfalls of life may cause us to lose access to one of the best sources of cool stuff we have.

Lets hope some of the folks who know him personally and are geographically close as well can get in touch with him and see what can be done to help.

If what I hear is to be true, are there any other sources available?
