  • Bug Bites

I just got eaten alive at an event this past weekend by chiggers and misquitos and spiders you name it (apparently I dug my rifle pit in their home). SO far none of my anti itch stuff is working, what have any of you dont in the past thats an effective way of getting rid of the itch from the bug bites!

Baking soda made into a paste. Oil of Clove works as well.

Benadryl or a generic house brand is the best way to dry them up and make them go away. NOTICE: I'm not doctor, take any OTC drug at your own risk.

Here is a period repellant. Use caution and the SEARCH Button.

I tried the baking soda one....cause thats what I had at my disposal and so far its working...messy but working. Also has anyone ever tried the B1 Vitamin I heard its supposed to be a good bug repelent. Like it makes ur skin smell bad to the bugs or something.

Clear nail polish works just fine. Don't confuse it with nail polish remover, especially in sensitive regions.

This works for bee stings, might work for bites, but unsented meat tenderizer. You mix it with water and into a paste, then place it on the Sting/bite area, though when I've have seen it used it was only right after a bee sting, not something that happened a few days ago. Also the tenderizer is a white powder, not a southwest spice mixed in, though it may smell good it won't work well. :wink_smil

I have found army issue bug repellant (bought at local surplus) works great-one dot and all the bugs are gone.

Take 2 garlic tablets a day for a week prior to an event and you won't have any problems.
