Does anyone know where Young America, Ill. is located. I don't know if the name of this town exists still. I found America, Ill. north of Caro. Is this the same town? A unit I am researching is from this area. Thanks in advance to whom ever can help.

Re: Young America, Ill.
Greetings,
Young America was in Tompkins Township, Warren County in Western Illinois. I believe the town is now called Kirkwood. Below is a link to an 1875 map of Warren County showing Young America. The other link is an 1869 Bird's Eye View Map of Young America (resolution isn't great on this one). Hope this helps your research!
